Mobile lifters consist of a transport frame with 4 wheels and lifting boom that are operated by either a handcrank, a lift hydraulic or electric system. The lower transport frame is constructed as an adjustable V or H-shaped base that can be spread.

Carrying the patient is done with, for example, rigid seats and stretchers using a sling system with separate back and seat components or with a continuous lifting sling and a lifting cloth with leg supports, body holders or a lifting hanger.

When lifting, there is the possibility to lift or lower the patient to floor level.

Using this aid must be done only with the help from an assistant.

Indication
Limitation and loss of mobility through the loss or considerable loss of function of the upper and lower extremities (e.g. quadriplegics from paraplegia or other neurological or muscular dysfunctions of the upper and lower extremities) which no longer allows the independent use of other lifting or transfer devices by the patient.
